Mustard-Orange Dressing
Step-by-Step Recipe for Classic Vinaigrette with a Citrus Twist
- Ingredients
- 1/4 cup 60 ml olive oil
- 2 tablespoons 30 ml vinegar (balsamic, apple cider, or red wine)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 clove garlic minced
- Juice of 1 orange about 1/4 cup or 60 ml
- Zest of 1 orange
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey or maple syrup, minced garlic, orange juice, and orange zest.
Add Olive Oil: Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously until the dressing is well emulsified.
Season: Add salt and pepper to taste. Adjust flavors as needed.
Store: Transfer the dressing to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate. Shake well before using.
